New Functionality in Gmail : Insert Image into Email Messages

GMail now has an easy method for inserting image into email messages directly without having to use file attachments or complex copy-paste. Here instructions from GMail Blog “Just turn on “Inserting images” from the Labs tab under Settings, and you’ll see a new toolbar icon (see picture above).Make sure you’re in rich formatting mode, or it won’t show up. Click the little image icon, and you can insert images in two ways: by uploading image files from your computer or providing image URLs.”
To enable this feature, simply log into your Gmail account, click Settings and then click the Labs tab. Scroll down until you see this:

Click Enable and save your settings.
